when i turn on my headlights, right side works fine, the drivers side will work only with the retractor button, then it wont go back down. when i turn the red ****, it will twist a couple turns,, then immediately go back up. then it got real hot. disconnected the battery for now. any ideas???

i had the same problem for about a month and eventually i figured out that it was a harness plug right behind the front bumper that was loose. i pushed it in all the way and everything was fine. goodluck.
