Problems mounting Alternator

I am leaving the PS and AC off, do I need to put the mounting plate back on that hold the PS and AC? I can't seem to figure out how to get the alternator on... Anyone have any pics?

what do you mean by not being able to get the alternator on?
the black alternator bracket attaches to the plate that you are removing and the front housing (or plate). i don't know how well it will work without that plate.

thanks for the picture... so the only part of that bracket that attaches to the AC/PS bracket is that bolt midway on the alt bracket correct?
