problems after rebuild

I finished my rebuild today and now have 3 major problems. First of all, my coolant buzzer is on constantly, even though there is coolant in the filler neck. I checked the white connector to the level sensor and it is fine. Second, I have 2 CEL's - knock sensor and water thermosensor. Is the water thermosensor the one with the green connector in front of/below the pressure tank? Could this cause the buzzer to go off? Also, I noticed that my knock sensor connector had fallen off yesterday, so I soldered the two wires together. I soldered the knock sensor lead to the wire that comes along the front of the engine from the main engine harness. It is black with red dots. Is this the correct wire? There is another wire that is hanging loose near the spark plugs. It is black with a square black connector and is comarably thicker in guage than the knock sensor wire. I have no idea where it goes, as it looks like everything in the area is connected. Could it be a ground wire? It comes off the starter/battery harness. Please help! My car has not been driven for almost 2 years now and I am so close to having it running. Any help with any of these issues would be appreciated. Thanks

for the level sensor, there is another connector besides the white one. the white connector runs back and over to the drivers side harness. I had the same problem with mine until I found the black single spade connector for it under the elbow. The water thermosensor is the top one on the back of the filler neck (green connector). The knock sensor connector will fit in two places...where it should go and into the power steering connector. These often get mixed up. The connector for the knock sensor should be behind the alternator near the oil filler neck.

Hope that helps.

Your water buzzer is because the black wire you described above, behind the PS pump, needs to be plugged in. There is a black mate to it back there, and this completes the circuit to the level sender in the thermo housing.

Knock sensor is a common problem, you need to track back into the harness and make a good connection where it isn't so brittle. The wires at the thermosensor tend to break, or sometimes the insulation breaks and the wires touch each other, either of which could cause a big problem.

Thanks, I got it sorted out today. I need to order a new knock sensor though because the connector fell off. I tried to solder it, but it didn't work for some reason. I noticed that there are two sets of wires within the single lead for the sensor. I must have screwed it up when I stripped the wire.
