problems after air pump removal
i have a 2000 model with these mods-power fc,midpipe, twin pod alloy intake box standard intake pipes, jasma 4" cannon cat back, greddy pulley kit(air pump out).
iwhen recently removing the air pump the pipe still connected to the car has air/maybe exhaust gases coming from it ,i sorta plugged it up(the bung i used wasnt a tight fit) and the car ran sweet, then after a few days it wouldnt boost when the intake temps were above 60 degc then it wouldnt boost at all after being driven and allowed to heat soak and driven again. I checked the car and found the bung had been blown out .i have now securely blocked this pipe off and the car will boost no matter the intake temp .WHY THE **** IS THIS SO
i also noticed when it wasnt boosting at all the charge control actuator was not retracted producing no boost of the primary
