Problem with vacuum and Profec B Spec II

Installed Profec B Spec II and it worked well on the test drive. Next time I get in the car(4 days later maybe)I notice my boost gauge is not sitting at 0, its around -5(before the BC, the gauge always sat a 0 with the car off). Start the car, it drops to -10 on the gauge(before the BC, gauge pulled around -16). The Profec is now reading -79 to -82. So I get on the highway and notice that when I gas it, the vacuum NEVER drops below -10 on the gauge and -99 on the Profec. Before the BC, my gauge would drop to -22 or-20 after letting off the throttle.

So I go back home figuring I have a leak somewhere. I listen for one in the cabin and under hood and don't hear anything. Pull off all the newly installed hoses to check them and everything looks good.

After doing all the above I turn the car on and the gauge now reads -16 or so but the Profec is still saying -80 to -82(at idle). I goose the throttle at idle and the damn Profec never drops below -99 with the gauge never going below -16.

Am I missing a leak somewhere ? I don't understand how it could work flawlessly the day it was installed but not work 4 days later . Anyones help is appreciated

Which install procedure did you follow?

Is it set up like version 1 or version2? And did you remember to cap the indicated actuators?

That is odd. Perhaps the problem isn't related to the installation of the Profec. Sorry I can't be of further help.

Maybe, we messed w/the BOV also maybe its leaking(didn't hear anything)?? I was just thinking it was the Profec since we had just installed the thing. I guess I'll have to take it out and see whats happening with the factory way. Thanks for trying to help Rex.

took out the BC and problem still exists with the addition now of the car not starting right up like it always has, slowing down when just letting it roll in 1st and only boosting to 7psi. looks like im fucked until i can take it to a pro.

so if thist happens to anyone else, it isnt your BC most likely
