Problem solving

Ive not had the rx7 long but already having problems, im hoping this isnt a sign of things to come, right the problem is the cars not boosting right over 6k, possibly a fueling issue but to be honest i havnt got a clue, the thing that gets me is it doesnt always happen, i went to a show yesterday on the way there i had the problem on the way back it sorted it self then started again last night, and ideas or any decent garages in kent??

what kind of boost are you seeing? cause its common for the boost to drop a few psi after it hits 6k rpms

welcome to the forum!!

ive not got a boost gauge, the cars totally standard, its not drop a few psi, when it does it, i just stop bogs like when you run out of petrol and try and boot, thats why i said possibly fuel related but i havent got a clue

I would put on a boost gauge so that you can tell the difference between a boost problem and a fuel problem.

Yup, get a boost gauge in there first and foremost.

Also, stay active on rx7club, but (if you haven't done so yet) you should def register on two of the UK based rx-7 forums: www.mazdarotaryclub.com and www.fduk.org/forum/.

I would suggest taking it to RE:worx, they are located in Portsmouth and VERY good at what they do. I drive down from Cambs to have any major jobs done/problems sorted. Chris, Geff and Max are brilliant fellows and will take good care of you (tell them that Levi, the yank, sent you ^_^)

Grats on getting a 7, welcome to the cult!!
