Hello,

About a couple of hours ago while I stopped to refill my gas tank. My car's Coolant buzzer and light came on. I also noticed a pretty loud exhaust leak around the stock twin turbos just as I came out of the gas station. I quickly returned home, which was just down the street.

I'm confused because I do not understand the connection between these two symptoms. I am not leaking any coolant, nor am I low. I do not smell coolant nor see it leaking anywhere. Because of the exhaust leak I am not able to boost properly.

I searched, but was not able to find an answer. Please help, thank you!

Ok i think you might have a leek on your AST line - or a crack in your Coolent line from the twin turbos?

Check this by rubbing the rubber hoses dry, then starting your car and look if any leak?

Just a shot in the dark but it could happen

 

I see, but why the sudden exhaust leak? Also, wouldn't I see/smell coolant somewhere?

 

Humm that is true - i would say it would have been sucked up by the twin turb - but would have been burnt during combustion. and like you say you should smell a sweet smell and steam coming from the exhorts. so humm ill check with my boys tonight and see what they say you got a pic of the location ?

 

Thanks for the input. I haven't started tearing it down yet, will do so on the weekend. I'll start it up again tonight to see if I missed something.
