problem shifting at redline

I've been having a problem with my FD, when I redline it in 2nd and shift to 3rd it goes into gear but is like there's no gear. its happened a few times, my clutch line blew and i thought that might have been the problem but it happened again today when i tried. it goes into gear and takes some effort to pop it out, if I just try pushing in the clutch again it doesnt grab until i pop it out of gear then it will work fine shifting casually. when it first happened i thought i blew my trans but theres no grinding or anything

would my throwout bearing be sticking when i shift hard. lubing up the input shaft is pretty much my only idea so far

has act clutch and flywheel i just put in 6500kms ago worked fine up until a month or 2 ago

If your clutch, clutch line and fluids are good I would def say its your transmission. 3rd gear is the most common gear to go out.

third gear works fine except when i redline in 2nd and shift fast into 3rd, if it was a transmission problem it would make some kind of noise???, its quiet and shifts smooth, its like my clutch doesnt engage or something till i pop it out of gear

The transmission has many components that could go out. Ive popped a gear out of my tranny (literally) in a saab and was mysteriously still able to drive home without any weird noises. I would double check your clutch as well. Perhaps its installed wrong or is defective.

Sounds like your throw-out bearing is hanging up and not letting the clutch re-engage immediately on quick throws. Btw, hopefully you are not redlining often. I would say that is a rather aggressive way to drive.

On a completely stock setup, sure!!!

But with more HP, torque, and a stronger clutch setup with more bite that transmission is not going to last forever.

I dont think 360 hp is really alll that crazy LOL , but think about all those race guys who track the hell out of their fd's Like Fritz Flynn I dont think he knows how to shift if its not in the red .

I was thinking it might be this but i wasnt sure if that would have kept my clutch pedal to the floor. im gonna pull the transmission next weekend. its either that or maybe I bent a shift fork and it pops out when i shift hard. I'm hoping its just a broken roll pin on or something easy to fix. I wasn't sure if this was some common problem with the clutches or something else figured i'd ask to see if anyone had the problem before but i guess im just going to have to start tearing into it.

ive broken transmissions before but this one still seems to work perfect except if i shift from 2nd to 3rd at 7500ish rpm .heres my transmission from my FC after 5 years of abuse ,i was at the drag races running 11.4-11.6 all day transmission finally let go.
