Problem with my passenger side door lock solenoid
When I lock my driver's door, my passengerside lock doesn't lock.
Anyone with similar problem and how did you fix it?
I think I might have to replace the solenoid.. anyone had to replace it??
I have an aftermarket alarm (clifford) with remote door lock. But its not the remote lock solenoid.. its the passengerside solenoid that doesn't lock the door. Door lock itself works as I have to manually lock it (both inside and outside works).
Any help would be appreciate it! I have an extra passengerside solenoid but looks like its a pain in the *** to replace it..

May be poor connections in the passenger side door connector. I.E. corrossion, broken or perhaps it came loose at the alarm. If it stopped all of a sudden i'd start at the door on the passenger side. The door lock mechaisim on the passenger side is setup so that if the motor fails tit will still work mechanically. That's why the right hand drive passenger door loks work so well for our drivers side. There is a micro switch on our driver side door that operates the passenger side door lock that may have failed as well. Just some things to check.

hmm I tought rx7 had a vacum locking system. I had that problem for a day or some and then it went away. Try actuating the lock manualy (the lock or unloack button level thing) a few times from both doors then try to lock the passenger door with the key a few times in different combinations.

Resurrecting an old post but I'm experiencing a similar issue.
I have an aftermarket alarm/door lock system hooked up to my 93. The driver's side (DS) door has a single actuator that is activated by the remote, and will lock and unlock the DS door fine. However, the passenger's side (PS) door doesn't lock when either the DS actuator is triggered or the lock is turned.
I have tried multiple methods to troubleshoot, including replacing the DS door (following a minor accident), which meant migrating most of the hardware to the new DS door. Part of the migration included replacing the core door latch system (cables, latch, etc) with the exception of the lock barrel which is the same. I've also replaced the Relay and the Alarm/Window CPU that is behind the DS foot kickplate. The PS door still doesn't seem to be aware that the DS door is being locked.
What is particularly odd is that the system seems to recognize that both doors ARE locked, and enables the OEM alarm (which I never removed). When both doors are locked the alarm light begins to flash. A simliar procedure of locking the DS door from the inside and then using the remote on the outside, locks the DS door and therefore enables both alarm systems.
However, again, locking and unlocking the DS door doesn't trigger the PS door to lock.
I've removed the PS door panel and looked around to see if there was anything in that might be out of place. I was surprised that I didn't see or could not find the stock motor or actuator that causes the PS door to lock originally, where is that located?
I'm not sure what to try next - I appreciate any insight you may have.
Thanks!
Steve

It can also be from the drivers side door since it sends the signal to lock the passengers side door. I had to disable my Drivers side inside lock because it was jamming and not going all the way down, making the door motor unlock the doors sometimes. for now my passenger side lock is manual except when i use the key. better that becoming unlocked at random.
hope it helps.
