Problem after Okada Booster?

hey guys...i just installed an okada plasma booster in my car...i did the install myself but im no mechanic...it just seemed simple enough to do so i did it...after installing the booster the car drove fine but when i opened up some throttle there was some misfiring and "breaking up" at aroung 6000rpm...i guess its the spark plugs???...the spark plugs in the car r about a year old with about 10000kms on it...

come to think of it i did remember a slight misfire while racing a 350z b4 i installed it....

did anyone else ever experience anything like this with their hks system?...what do you think?

just to make sure you did it correctly...what kind of boost are you seeing? did you remember to take the pill out of the wastgate line?

oh damn dude!...wastegate pill?...no i didnt...i had no idea that was required...the okada instructions didnt say anything about that ...im seeing the same boost level as b4 though...

but on the booster itself there r 3 little green lights that light up to indicate that the booster is properly installed...so i just assumed that it was properly done since i saw mine all lit up...

hmmm...maybe i should have left it to my mechanic...but i kinda like the satisfaction of doing things myself..

thats understandable. you will have to remove the pill though. your boost is prob reading the same since your controller is being held wide open. everything electrical being hooked up right might make the lights show its working correctly. its not boost related...

once you take the the pill out, your boost should read 7-8psi. you will then need to tune the controller so it reads 10psi. make sure you use the low boost setting(if it has one) and start it from the very bottom and work your way up(same with the gain setting if you have the option). you dont want to overboost.

after setting your boost, make sure your transition is accurate. report back
