Primary Injector Question..

When installing the primaries, is there a rubber piece that is supposed to slide onto the end of the injector housing that the injectors slide into? I am talking about the part at the tip of where the injector sprays from, is there supposed to be a rubber piece to slide on there? If there is, how important is it that it is there?

I think so. It is a little peice that helps uniformly distribute the gas. I have heard that it is not a good idea to leave that off.

We may be talking about the same piece... but I am not talking about the metal piece that looks kinda long and has a screen at the end, I am talking about a little circular rubber piece that fits around the tip of the injector housing. Anyone replaced their primaries?

There are square profile o-rings that go in between the primary rail and the housing, and there are regular donut o-rings around the tips of the injectors. You really need all of them or you will have fuel leaks.
