What do you guys think will happen to the prices of FD's once the RX-8 comes out?? I guessing it will go down some.. Both b/c of years and that there is another newer model around..

 

I think they will skyrocket... like when the NB came out, the prices of Type 1s went through the roof... one year you could buy rusted-out Super Beetles for $50-100-200 in running condition, then the NB comes out and the same rusted out junkpile goes for $900-1000-1500.

People will go to look at the RX-8, see the commercials on TV, be reminded of the old ads from the 70's, etc. and bring the rotary to the forefront of everyone's minds... and demand for the older cars will go up. Not just FDs, but anything that Mazda made rotary-powered.

 

It is possible that it will go up as it becomes older and the number of decent ones continues to decrease. Stock ones will alway me worth the most though.
