Hey guys....just wondering what the goin rate of a motor rebuild: street ported, turbos rebuilt, 5th gear syncros fixed ...has prices of rebuilds gone up?

Call up Ray at PFS, his number is (301) 874-0611. He does good work and can give you a good estiment. I got a stock reman from mazda when i did mine and it cost me around $2500, + my labor. So your going to pay a good deal more for someone to do it, its like 35 hours worth of labor i think i remember the manual saying. good luck

Porting is typically an additional $400-600 and at that point the motors are no longer warrantied -- some builders (Pineapple) will offer a warranty on ported motors but it is VERY specific and not as long as a typical warranty.
