Price check?
I completely disagree. White is absolutely more valuable.
Supply and demand is what makes a price go up or down on any given product. Less white cars and more white demand means white cars cost more PERIOD
MB and VR cars sell for less because there is less demand and more supply. It's just economics
Confucius say; don't buy a truck in the fall or a sports car in the spring.

Around 600 White FDs were imported between 94 and 95. Im figuring about half of those are gone by now, and of those left, very few have low miles. My guess is that the white cars, especially black interior, nase cars or even original glass sunroof models with low mileage will be some of the most valuable FDs in 10 years. Just my opinion.
In 10 years I think it will be all about the R cars but any clean low mileage FD will carry a super high premium.
Agreed in the mileage. If the R package offered more power, id agree, most of the old muscle cars and collector cars that are valuable had bigger engines, more horsepower etc. In my eyes, harder suspension and spoilers isnt quite enough to really make a huge difference, considering the R cars arent really that much rarer. Look at Supras for instance. The super expensive ones are 6 speeds (not a factor in FDs) and either Quicksilver or Royal Sapphire Pearl cars....rare colors. Could go either way though, I think overall rarity is the most important factor. A factory CYM car with 10k miles on it would likely bring a big price if FDs become collector cars, but unlikely because its an R1. Probably because there might be 5 CYM cars in the country with under 20k miles, if that. A Black R1 with the same mileage wouldnt bring the same price IMO. Depends on the buyer as well I guess.

It's been on the market for at least 3 months
Cars for Sale: 1993 Mazda RX-7 Turbo in San Mateo, CA 94402: Hatchback Details - 401408283 - Autotrader
Sure a black R2 with 15k miles might sell for 40k at a dealer.
The highest sale I know of recently is the ssm R2 with 8k miles which sold by the dealer in DC for 31

You are forgetting Hard Top TT Supras, which bring a premium over every supra except 98 Quick Silver. The Hard Top TT is somewhat equivalent to the r1/r2.
Here's my opinion of how it will go in terms of value:
93 CYM R1(God I hate yellow but it's not up to me)
95 Silver R2(the real unicorn)
95 Black R2
95 VR r2
94 SIlver R2
94 Black R2
94 VR R2
Then it's a toss up between white 94/95 cars and 93 R1s.
As far as most popular color I always got requests for Silver then White back when I was selling a ton of them.
One thing for sure that it all depends on what the buyer deems as valuable. For instance, I would never have an fd without a sunroof. So R1/R2 are out of the question for me.
And Im too tall to have a sunroof in an FD. Probably the only positive with me going bald is I dont feel my hair touching the headliner in a touring in recent years.
lol yeah whenever I see that I think to myself 'aw must be new sunroof owners' because for me 90% of the time used as a functional means to cool the hot box.

Depends on what you consider rare. There were 2164 "R" models made, and only 674 Chaste White cars made, and 350 CYM cars. I believe Fritz owns a 94' Silver base, only 22 of those made.

I believe the R cars will be the most sought after collectors and the low mileage CYM the unicorn.
In terms of being focused, it goes from R1, base to touring. I went with a base because that's exactly what I want/need. A lot of the feature that set the R1/R2 from base would give me more headaches than anything. Well, that and I would feel really guilty butchering a R model.
I currently have a touring, but I always prefered the base seats. If I had my choice, I'd take a CW 95' base with very low miles. I would have spent the money on it, but I simply couldnt find one. Had to have White, so next best thing was a CW car with low miles with black interior, touring package.
