PPF Removal Question

I am removing my PPF which is currently in 2 pieces.. What is the easiest way to get to the two bolts on top of the transmission? I was trying to get them out through the shifter hole but it was a bit tight. Any tips / pointers would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Paul

There are 2 bolts on top of the transmission? On mine, all the nuts can be accessed from the bottom of the car w/ an extension on a socket. removing these 8 nuts will allow you to take off the PPF

as stated above, all 8 nuts are accessible from the bottom. you'll just need an extension.

superjet3.
there is a nut locking bracket on top of the transmission that keeps the bolts from turning when removing the nuts. If these bolts move when loosening the nuts then the previous owner forgot to reinstall this metal bracket. If this is the case the only thing you can do is remove the shifter completely and use an open wrench to hold back.

theres actually 9 nuts, the diff side of the PPF has a 5th bolt. Grab your breaker bar a 1/2inch torque wrench

Ohhh ok this makes life a lot easier. I took that locking bracket off but will be putting it back on now.. I thought the bolts had to come off out the top. Thanks for the clarification guys... This should be pretty easy now.
