attached is a picture of my datalogit in the Sensor/SW check screen.
my PAC switch is showing Switch ON, is this normal? or should it be Switch OFF by default?
troubleshooting done:
cleaned ACV, otherwise known as the PAC?
verified solenoids resistance within spec
solenoids are fully intact, ie has springs and a shaft
verified actuators are within spec
That is showing that the PFC is commanding that solenoid to operate. if it is actually operating or even hooked up doesn't come into play, it's just grounding a pin and showing it did so.
Some of the other switches are inputs so that's helpful (like neutral switch, brake switch) and the voltages are also helpful.
hes just asking if the PAC should be showing as "on". troubleshooting is mentioned but the REASON for the troubleshooting is not. to get an answer to the surface level question you would only need to ask others to check their sensor check screen with key on. presumably the car is off in that picture because i think the PIM voltage indicates something closer to atmospheric than running vacuum.
what exactly are you troubleshooting and what happened where you feel this is something that you should be giving attention to? this would be a better way of offering assistance
car has been sitting for over a year, wanted to make sure all systems are working properly
had stock ecu in and ran CEL check, no CEL codes/errors
put in powerfc, went to sensors/switch screen and saw the PAC showing as "on", wasn't sure it was normal or not,
but read the PAC was related to the ACV, never really touched that part before myself but opened and cleaned the solenoids, no changes to PAC switch field in powerfc
