Question Power Window Switch Problem

I own a '94 R2 and I'm unable to raise the passenger window from the switch located on the driver's door. I can lower the widow from this switch, but when I try to raise it, the switch kinda flops up with no resistence whatsoever.

Is there any hope that I can fix this switch, or is a new one in order? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You will probably need a new one. You most likely had the same problem I did, which was that the plastic piece that connects the switch to the electrical contacts has become detached from the lever that you operate. When you push down on it, it will still press on the lever, but when you pull up, the glue wont bring the lever up and the window wont go up.

I actually put in a switch from a 2nd gen (it fits pretty well). It's a lot simpler of a switch, and it was a lot cheaper since I got it for free as supposed to the hundred something bucks that Mazda will charge you for an fd switch. The harness just plugs right up though so you wont have to splice any wires if you use the 2nd gen switch.
