Power window switch Fix

When my power window switch stopped working (drivers window wouldnt roll up) I dreaded the $160 replacement from mazda. So I took it apart to find out that the plastic arm connected to the button was the problem. It is glued to the button, and the seal broke. So when I would pull up on the switch, the arm wouldnt move.

$2 plastic cement glue compared to the OEM piece. So if yours goes out, check the plastic parts before you fork out the money for a new piece. My electronics were still working 100%.

When mine broke I tried my damndest to fix it, but everything I tried wouldnt work. I just ended up leaving the plastic piece off and fiddiling with the actual switches to open and close the windows. I am going to replace the thing w/ a new one as soon as I have extra cash.

When my drivers side switch went, first the drivers side, then the passengers side, I was able to fix it no problem. Most of the time it's the long lever that snaps into the bottom of the rocker (lever you actually touch in normal operation), it cracks the thin plastic where it snaps into the rocker so you can't get full range of motion on the actual switch piece inside, so I just glued those pieces together.
Heh, this is one of those posts that make absolutely no sense at all, unless you've taken one of these apart. Hell, even then it probably doesn't
