Power steering bracket

So I've removed the P/S and A/C from my '93 FD. Question is:

Can I remove the HUGE bracket that the P/S pump was bolted to that also contains the mounting spot for the belt tensioner for the P/S and A/C belt?

The reason I ask is that the alternator tensioner bracket also bolts to this bracket. So I don't know if removing the P/S bracket will have some unforeseen consequences on alternator belt tension and thus water pump contact (eek!).

So the more I think about it the more I think removing the P/S pump bracket should be ok. The alternator belt tension shouldn't be compromised unless (1) the alternator tension bolt moves or (2) the alternator tension bracket actually breaks. Since the OEM setup is based on the notion that #1 is true and the alternator tension bracket seems pretty beefy, I think I shouldn't have any problems.

Come on people, hasn't anyone removed this piece when they deleted their P/S?

You can remove it, I just did it a few weeks ago.
