Power FC & Intercooler, 14psi?
My mods: apexi intake, hks intake & dp..
I wanted to purchase the Power FC and Greddy FMIC install them at the same time and boost at 14. I think I will be spending around 2,500 total. I will install the FC myself pay for the intercooler to be installed and have Ray of PF tune it.
My main questions:
I have a very tiny oil leak from possibly my secondary turbo which doesnt ever cause me problems even under wot for excessive runs...will this become a problem at a higher boost or should I be fine?
Do I need anything else at 13-14psi than what I have?
Any idea of the power I will be making?

to answer your question... do you need anything else? well a fuel pump wouldnt hurt, thats for sure. no point in risking it. your injectors should be all right, but i am still somewhat of a newb at the rotary lol. but i would say get a fuel pump. lots of different ones to choose from.
but it is just gonna make that turbo worst. so maybe wait until you have money to get new turbos, rebuild yours, or go single?!?

well when upgrading isnt it a given, and its in several tuning/upgrade etc. write ups...u should start with a car thats in good working order?
i would say go ahead and do the mods, but fix that goddamn leak before u go nuts with the boost!

You have apexi and HKS intake? Well to hit 14 psi you need secondarys..stock are only good for around 12 psi. It depends..the turbo is gone..if its leaking oil it needs a rebuild regardless..at 14psi it wont be any different..it might go a little faster but its already blown so you cant really do any more damage other than it just completely letting go which its going to do anyways eventually regardless of boost level.

the turbos are not blowing smoke at wot. there was a little oil leaking from under the motor before we fixed the issue we were having, which was we were not getting full stock boost, the most we got was 5psi, the problem was a bad coil. ever since the problem has been fixed and we get full stock boost now, the oil leaking has not been as bad. there is bairly any that leaks now. we also have a extra set of stock turbos which you could rebuild my cousin.

I doubt you'll make it to 14 psi on stock injectors. I have stockers that were just cleaned by RC Engineering & a new fuel filter on an otherwise stock fuel system. I'm injecting 631 cc/min of denatured alcohol on top of that and I'm still seeing 87-88% IDC's at 14.5 psi with 11.3-11.4:1 AFR's.
I also doubt you'll make it up there knock free on pump gas unless you retard the timing down into the basement...and by then you'll be doing more harm than good. 11-12 psi with decent timing will probably make just as much power as 14 psi on stockers with retarded timing.
If you can (magically) keep the IDC's sane then add some stout race gas, 14 psi, and decent timing...that would make for a fun ride.

If you have the turbos fix, the I will suggest using a upgraded fuel pump and atleast 850cc primaries for your fuel injectors. Yes you can use the stock fuel system for 14 psi but you will be passing their recommended duty cycle and having the risk of them sticking open or close. So you choose if you want to rick blowing the motor.
