Power FC or e-manage solution
I'm not sure if this should go into the ECU forum, but I am looking for advice/ experience from both the power FC and Greddy e-manage folks.
My goal is to reach 340-350 RWHP and 300+ torque (I am currently at 300RWHP/ 270). I have the following relevant mods: M2 stage 3 everything, upgraded fuel pump, 2002 twins (280hp not yet installed). I absolutely do not want to lose the sequential manners of the car around town, so I am debating whether to retain the M2 ECU and piggy-back the e-manage to run beyond stage 3 boost levels (with 1200 injectors) OR scrap the ECU and try the Power FC (with 1200 injectors). This is not a financial question, it is only which method will best retain the stock feel around town and have the least hassle in general. Thanks a lot.

Get a Power FC with 1300CC injectors. Hardly anybody has the e-manage, and there are hardly any tuners, and I doubt any rotary e-manage tuners out there. Do you want your car to be a guinea pig for some tuner where you might end up spending a few thousand dollars for an engine rebuild?
Get the PFC, it has better driving manners than the stock ecu in almost every situation (except for the sporadic A/C issues).
I daily drive mine and need the car as streetable as possible and I don't miss my stock ecu at all....

As the owner/moderator of the E-manage mailing list, and knowing pretty much everything there is to know about the E-manage, I would vote PowerFC.
The E-manage with all the add-ons to properly work with a 3rd gen would still, at the end of the day, be running the stock ECU. The 3rd gen's ECU has a number of problems - 3000 RPM hesitation being a big one.
Everyone I've known that installed a PowerFC was AMAZED at how much better the car ran and drove, and how much smoother and better the power was, after simply installing it. Apexi put a LOT of work into that sucker.
The E-manage is a very slick and capable piece of equipment, and has LOTS of potential, but the PowerFC just blows it away hands-down. For the price of an E-manage and add-ons you're REALLY close to a PowerFC base unit that's light years ahead.
