Power FC boost controller or separate?

Should i get the boost controller along with the Power FC or should i just spend the money to buy a separate boost controller? i've heard that the pfc boost controller isn't a very good one, but if i would work well enough for me then i might as well just go with it. i'm only looking to keep my boost under 10 psi with the mods i have; i'm not looking for anything over stock boost levels, just to let you know.

thanks!

the pfc would be good for stock boost, anything over that it is recommended that you get a seperate one

If you just plan on running 10 psi you won't need another boost controller. When I had the stock twins I used it to run between 10 and 15 psi and never had a problem. The money would be better spent on a Profec or another stand alone controller.

with the separate boost control you can have many boost settings: off, low, high ect. as well as many other settings.....not to sure if the pfc can do that.

PFC does a reasonable job as long as you don't have boost creep issues (from a midpipe or high-flow cat).

PFC has high and low boost settings that can be selected with the Commander.

i recommend that you get the PFC and install it to see how well it does or does not control boost on your car. for some the PFC works well by itself. for others (myself included) the separate boost controller might be needed. i wound up getting the Profec B and it works wonderfully.
