Thumbs up Power extreme

Yo guys............

I about to purchase a new exhaust and sell my PFS catback. Seems how I think all of your opinion's matter, I ask you: whats the best overall exhaust system. I was thinking about the Power Extreme from Greddy.

thank a million, Matt

I have heard nothing but good things about this cat-back. It is loud but everyone I know is happy with it.

people still use the Power extreme? From what I've heard it's very nice and sounds very good...has a 3.5 inch piping I believe. The only thing i don't like about it is the canister look of the exhaust and the huge tip.

Nothing flows like the apexi n1 dual. As for sound, some like, some don't. I think its all in your state of tune. Mine sounds good and have gotten plenty of compliments. Plus its nice to know I couldn't be flowing better.

The GReddy PE is nice, however, with all canister style exhaust.... if you lower the car, be careful of the canister scraping on speed bumps, driveway lips, etc...

A lot of people like them, personally, I'm not a fan of Apexi exhausts.

If I had it over to do again, I would get something like the Blitz, HKS Hiper, or Rotary Performance exhausts..

I have that and it's great for lowered cars. Not a fan of canisters, so this one is good and the sound is awsome(sp?). I just wish the tip was an inch smaller, it helps when the car goes onto a trailor or has to be transported somewhere. Great style looks nice not rice.

I've got the Greddy PE. Sounded great with the twins & midpipe. Quiet cruising, nice and LOUD at WOT but not overwhelming inside the car.

Now that I went single the different exhaust manifold changed the tone of the Greddy PE and there is a bit of a "tin -ee" sound to it that I'm not found of.

I may try the JIC, the thing can't weight more than 3 lbs and it IS beautiful! My second choice would be to try the Greddy SP. Jason has this on his T78 single, the exhaust is a lower pitch and there is no "tin -ee" sound.

Here you go. It sounds ok, not my favorite though. My car is lowered and I don't have any problems with it. This is dp, mp, and the PE.

There is another FD here local to me who also has the Greddy PE but is running a midpipe. Honestly, I don't think there was really much of a difference in loudness from his midpipe and my hi-flo cat...
