Power drain?
Power drain?
whats up ppl, my FD had start up issues which attributed to a bad battery. so having purchased a new optima redtop battery i notice that my FD has a nasty power drain going on unless my wolf EMS hand unit is messed up or somethin. when i turn the key to see how much voltage i have running it reads at 9 volts yet the car is still able to turn on without any kind of jumpstarts. i wonder if the hand unit is messed up, or my battery's reserve charge is kicking in.
one thing i must mention however is i had to replace the radiator fans and i purchased a new set. their plugs however was for a 2 slotted connection while the FD has 4. we spliced the old fan's plugs into the new ones and installed them. the fans kick up at 86 degrees celcius which is pretty tight. i wonder tho, could that be a cause to such a bad drainage if there is even one going on? my other question is do you guys have any idea on what parts of the electrical system in the FD are capable of causing one this bad? my FD has a kill switch so a band-aid fix for this has been to turn it on when i am not driving it to conserve my battery's voltage until i get paid so i can afford to fix this issue. if you guys have any ideas i would be most greatful to hear them! thanks for your time
