Powder Coating brake calipers, how much disassembly?
Just looking for a good opinion or experience on powder coating FD brake calipers. I disassembled the front calipers easily, but the rears are a pain because of the parking brake assembly.
Powder coating takes about ~30 minutes at 390* F.
The question is: Would the o-ring, dust boot, and bearing in the parking brake assembly survive powder coating?

I have searched quite a bit and came up with nothing. Could you provide a link?
Obviously you take off parts that melt, but o-rings and other brake components might be able to withstand 400 degrees. Motul brake fluid doesnt boil till 593 degrees. Most normal cheap brake fluids dont boil till 400 degrees, and many people do boil them. And if the brake fluid is getting that hot, I'm sure everything around it is as well.
