Possibly TOO rich at idle/part throttle?
Full non-seq done to my car, with basically full maintenence. Removed (as per my other thread) all the emissions, all the turbo control stuff, got a PFC, new plugs new wires, new gaskets etc... Removed double throttle, the whole 9 yards.
Car runs just about perfect, but Im getting a part throttle hesitation and backfire, then after more then 20% throttle it drives fine. Boosts perfectly up to 11lbs, no breakup, nothing.
I adjusted the TPS as per damian's write-up using the commander (much MUCH easier than using a volt meter), and the only gaskets that (I think) could effect idle would be the ones on the engine side of the throttle body, and those excepting the LIM gasket are all new, along with all hoses. All nipples that went unused are plugged with caps that were filled with hard-sealing silicon gasket, and then zip tied.
Checked all my plug wires, one was not on fully, or felt like it, got that settled, helped a little but didnt solve problem.
Is it possible that it is running too rich at low rpm for the plugs/coils to fire the mixture, thus causing my backfire and hesitation? Or maybe the engine isn't grounded enough? It only has the stock grounds with new wires atm, I think I may add another from block to chassis tomorrow.
Ive read just about every thread with the words 'hesitation' and 'backfire' and 'vacuum leak' in them, and none of the posters ever figure out their problem, or post it at least.
Another note, it idles extremely low on a hot start unless I give it a little gas, then after a few seconds the idle settles and it runs fine. I have not searched for that particular symptom as of yet, but after I hit Submit I plan to.
Im just curious if it is possible the PFC is running it too rich at idle, or if Im just too retarded to find my problem.
Anyway, thanks.

what size injectors are you running? I am running 850cc primaries and i am having the same problem. I've been trying to tune it out for quite some time now and no matter how much fuel i take out it is still way too rich (i have also messed w/ lag time w/ no success). My car also has the same hot start problem...
