Question Is possible to remove just 1 solenoid and no whole rack?

As title says I'm in the process of replacing my faulty CC solenoid and i'm stuck in the rats nest... I've no idea how to take that thing off... so I've searched forum and seems like it's tricky and complicated...but found some thread where says that I can remove just 1 solenoid without pulling the rack... just pressing 1 clip...

is that true, possible?

here is my solenoid rack... btw i found that I don't have egr solenoid... and my double throttle solenoid looks broken...

I just don't wanna **** anything... or brake anything and keep it simple as possible...

Yes it is possible. Not that hard either. They mostly just slide on/off the metal rack. There might be some clip like thing that you need to press that locks it in place. I think it broke off when I removed one solenoid for replacement.

Yeah mine slides off pretty easy, looks like you already have one solenoid removed?

Your harness seems to be in pretty good shape as well.

Hi, today I've tried to remove the damn solenoid but im not sure if im going in the right way... so please give help me with this quesitons...

1st. Do i need to remove the charge relief solenoid?? because looks like im gonna get more acces to the CC... til now i just managed to unplug it... but i wasn't able to pull off or do i need to remove something else?

2nd is there any other kind of clip below the solenoid??? because when i tried to pull off the CR solenoid was firmly sticked to the rack and i didn't want to pull harder i don't wanna brake anything..

3rd hoses attached to the solenoid are almost backed there... is there any trick or tip to pop off without braking the solenoid?? maybe wd40? heat? water? soap?

4th after removing the CR solenoid i'm thinking on cut hoses attached to the CC solenoid... and install the new one with new and long hose (i think its easier)

sorry for the stupid questions... but i don't want to remove a lot of things just to change 1 damn solenoid... and most important I want to avoid the vacuum hose job for the moment..

check attached image please green lanes are where i'd cut the hose

P.s. ZE Power MX6 I didn't seems like my car doesn't have that solenoid! and the botton nipple of my double throttle is missing!

I'm going to guess that most of those hoses have hardened which will make your task more difficult. If it wasn't for that, you could take notes on hose connections and clear a path to the solenoid you want to replace.

It might be possible to remove the ignition coil bracket (with the coils on it) without disturbing the solenoid rack...

I'm having somewhat of a similar issue , i'm removing the ACV .. and just would not like to have to remove the rats nest itself . I know the 2 solenoids I have to remove . But they are stuck in there , My sausage fingers cant seem to pull the solenoid out when I try and pull the clip with a screw driver..

i'm at the point where I am just going to cave man it and Rip the solenoid out in peices I kknow the hoses that are connected to it are not rubber anynmore they are more like solid plastic . how usefull is the ACV really will I ever really need it? LOL

but well i'll give it one more try at slipping it out . if possible . anyone have any suggestions ?

You will need to remove the rat's nest to remove the air control valve, the ACV is on studs so it has to slide out a good way to get clearance to come off.

Really, if you don't NEED to remove it, leave it be until you're in deep enough and do it then. Or, just get a bunch of silicone vacuum hose, remove the rat's nest, and re-do the whole thing. This is one of those things that's way more fun to do out of the car BTW.

I already removed the ACV , it was tricky But I've done it a few times ,

and yes you are correct about that . but my stupidity thoguth the ACV was the Idle air control . so i didnt take it out when i had the engine out of the car . I replaced mosto f the hoses , except for the 2 from the ACV solenoid because they were stuck in there and I was afraid of breaking the actual solenoid removing the hose . like I did already with another of the solenoid

But now that I know I wont be using them it irks me to see them haha

Couple nuts and bolts the whole rack comes off, why not take it off and do a simplified seq?

Because I'm very limited on sunlight hours now and all I need is those 2 solenoids out , I could just leave them in there if that were the case . the hoses will be disconnected and the ACV will be replaced by a block off plate anyways .
