?? Is it possible to pass smog with no airpump, intake, and the car in limp mode?

I am trying to buy a car from wholesale at work but I need it to pass smog first. The car has an intake on it. The car is throwing a map sensor code but i replaced it and the code is still there. I cleared it numerous times but it keeps coming back. Is it possible to pass smog with the car in limp mode like this? The car didnt have a main cat so i installed a universal cat. Please help fast.

Im pretty sure the air pump is required to pass, but im not sure what exactly you mean by "limp" mode so i might be wrong. But yea vosko is right, a Benji should do the trick!

you need the air pump to push fresh air into your cat. from what i know, w/o the pump, the sniffer test would read your a/f mixture to be a lot more dense and rich. not to mention you'll clog that cat sooner than you know. good luck either way

AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

That car will not pass without bribe money and an understanding tester. Finding a hot babe to take the car in for you will also increase your chances of passing. You can also try registering your car in a state that does not require emissions testing.

It helps to pay off the techs at work. I bought it from a dealership I work for so it really had to be done there. Thanks for the replies.
