Here's a picture of one from my web site:

As the page says, don't ask me anything about it. I don't know the answers.

That Montego Blue one doesnt look soo bad but still, it isnt in the car's personality to be a convertable... that is why Mazda made the Miata.
The Re-Amemiya car is gross.. while the man is a genius under the hood he just doesnt have my kind of style... opinion still but if you want that get a Porsche and paint it pink.

i tihnk chopping an FD into a targa would be easier then doing it on an FC, like mine, would look cleaner too, just add the correct frame support and do it right the first time then again these cars are getting rarer by the second . . .

Back to the subject: an FD's frame was not designed for conversion to a convertible or targa. You would need to weigh it down with frame reinforcements, otherwise the car might break in half on a speed bump. Maybe someone like TurboJeff could conjecture on what would be involved, but there isn't any information out there to explain the long-term success of these FD convertible conversions.
FWIW, IIRC there is a stretch limo FD floating around somewhere in Florida (affiliated with Pettit?). You can search this forum archive if that strikes your curiousity.

what about chopping the roof about 2-3 inches that would be hot. (like what they do to the old school hot rods) i have been talking to people about doing that to my ride, lower profile.
That thing looks exactly like a miata. You can swap a 13b into a miata and have pretty much the exact same car. When you convert the car to a convertible, you get rid of one of the best looking parts of the car: the roofline.
RXASSASIN7 - how short are you? My head is already almost touching the roof, but I have a sunroof and I'm 6'1".
