Try adjusting the spring to FULL SOFT. If you are noticing any boost leak then adjust it towards hard. I believe the Greddy Type S has a 17psi spring. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

If you aren't happy, please do not post some things like those, is it constructive or what? I asked about a question, if you don't want to reply it, then don't say things like that..

I have the Apexi BOV and there is a ring around the outlet hole which has three different size holes. It's kinda hard to hear mine because of my exhaust but when I'm out on the highway you can hear a slow leak off of boost when you give it a little boost. But when I'm under full boost I can't hear it because my dump tube is vented to the atmosphere.

Please. It's just absurd. Does a louder BOV make your car perform better? Does it solve a problem? Nope. It only serves to make you appear cooler when you are cruising around pimpin' for your friends.

Hey, I hear if you wire two batteries in series it will make your undercar neon lights brighter. Give it a try.

The fact is that there are all sorts of questions and discussion that go on here in the forum that don't have anything to do with "making the car perform better". But, they are still "car" related.

People asking about various headlight kits, "gull wing" doors, "how much is this car worth" threads, etc...

While a BOV may not be a priority for you it may be for others. Just stick with the old saying, "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all", otherwise it makes you look VERY immature.

I'd have to agree as well. And making your BOV louder isn't just because you want to look cool. That's something that is for the person that owns the car just as much as any other reason. That's why I vented my stockers to atmosphere. I love the sound of a loud BOV!

To the person that asked about making the GReddy unit louder, get a hold of the guys that run www.altrac.net They seem to have alot of experience with the GReddy BOV's. Hope that will help you some. Laterz.

Problem is that there are other questions that get overlooked when the forum is clogged with BOV-type questions (that have all been answered before). I bumped my recent question 3 times and still got no love.

People answer questions about BOV's because more people know about them than the boost transition control on the FD. Do you think the people that answered questions in this thread would have posted in your thread had this one not been there?

That's not the case. And if you believe that threads like these STOP other users from posting in your thread (or others), you are really disillusioned.

Simple fact is the forum has rules. One of the rules is as follows:

This is not a flame war site, so please do not engage in such.

Personal attacks against other forum members will not be tolerated.

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/misc.p...page=4#conduct

The post that I replied to violated that rule. In no other way does the BOV question violate any rule here in the forum. So, keep bumping your thread until someone can help. All you did by replying was bump this one again.

Look, i am here because i want to learn, I have the right to answer all i want, i didn't post this to make the car perform better, i'm not stupid. I think everybody is allow to ask their question, and people who say comments like this have a bad way to waste their time IMO. I don't have to make woooooshhhh all the way to be cool...

Sorry for my "immature" rebuttal...and not trying to **** you off Mahjik since you are/have been a great help to folks on this forum (like me)...

But its the whole inevitable (as the seven lowers in value) transition to "rice" owners...sevens used to be owned by engineers (like me) and technically oriented people more concerned about enabling the full potential aesthetic or not of the RX7...innovators like Wyum, Labrec, Cooper etc and when I read the forum...EVERY f---ing day there either a BOV thread or a new BOV thread...just depressing thats all...more ricers proliferating this great forum...with lame *** BOV and NAAAAWS threads.

Worse yet, most of the new genre of seven owners dont have the money to really take care of the seven (witnessed by the amount of rip-off artists selling junk on the forum)...champange life on a beer budget type of thing...and I think the BOV threads reminds the "true" seven enthusiasts of the seven's transition to normalcy...commonality.

And to the thread starter...seriously, have you read the hundreds of BOV post and tens of threads on this very same subject?

Ricing is a crime against humanity, especially when involving gem sportscars. Unfortunately, it's not yet cause for any sort of punishment beyond assclowning.

Personally, I like the fact that the RX-7 is getting cheaper, and I don't like it when people separate themselves into a self-proclaimed elitist group based merely on their financial situation. For what the RX-7 is worth, it's one hell of a sportscar and it offers the greatest bang for your buck around.

Yes, BOV threads are punishable by fine, imprisonment or both.

LOL!

Sorry for the grandstanding...very thoroughly discussed topic though...had way too much coffee this morning....
