Possessed Idle

Okay so I followed the instructions on a post about the TPS adjustment for a bucking and poor idle problem. Man what a job to get the TPS loose had to pull the throttle body off to reach the lower screw and now that I have the correct voltage settings the idle is high and searching Car runs great above 3K but wont run below. I have the Idle bleed screw all the way closed to get the idle down to about 1600 and the throttle barkley open.

What gives to which God to I have to offer sacrafices too?

Anyone have the correct offering???

How many miles are on your motor? Have you done a compression check if it has a lot of mileage on it? Mine would start & idle semi OK until it warmed up & then it wanted to die when I came to a stop. Compression was really low & come to find out later, had a coolant seal gone. Had tried to adjust the idle on it but it didn`t help much.

79K miles was running great with the reliablitiy mods mostly from Pettit.
Car was a little bucky and the idle was a little low after installing the cold
air intake and removing the air pump. Spoke with Cam at Pettit and thought I might be able to cure the idle and 3k hesitation with the TPS but it has turned into a night mare. I'm wondering if my volt metter is off way off??
Car still runs strong but just cant figure out the idle settings been searching the forum but no luck.
Tried the Dash pot on and off no change
tried adjusting the TPS with the engin running to find a good setting no luck
check and the throttle plates are close cruise control ok throttle cable isnt sticking
A this point may have to take her to a pro just dont know anyone trust worthy in Orlando.

The air bleed screw should be all the way in and backed out about 1/2 a turn. Then I would check all your ic couplers and make sure they are tight. Check all vac lines (especially around the tb that you took off) and make sure there are no cracks/splits/or they are disconnected. It really souds like you have a vac leak somwhere and that is causing your idle to hunt. Several tips on here to find the vac leak, try spraying around with a can of carb cleaner.

Thanks for the tips. I took everything apart, cleaned up, reassembled, rechecked the TPS settings, and now she runs perfect.
Must have been the hot wheels I set on fire as a sacrifice to the rotoary Gods ;p

Thanks
