porting the stock exhaust manifold?

has anyone tried to do this? I was looking at mine and there is a small pipe looking thing protruding inside the housing. I was thinking of grinding it down and making it flush while I have the manifold off. any porting ideas... anyone?

I port them and the turbo hot sides . The pipe you are looking at , I push out the tubing and weld the holes closed plus much much more for non seq . I reshape the ports and close the prespool holes . Repair all the cracks that I can .Also port the wastegates to 1.3 inches with a bigger door installed . My wastegate is 1.38 inches on the one of BNR stage 3 plus . The rich mans nonsequential mod .
