CA porting newbie

Have ported plenty of Volkswagen's but now got into buying my FD. Bought Pineapple Racing large street port templates. Is it pretty basic to just follow the template and open up the port and sand it down, finish, etc. Or is there much more to it. Any help would be great. Thanks

SEARCH. There has been so SO much discussion on this subject. Go to nopistons.com and read every porting thread you can. The template you have really doesn't mean anything except a timing "outline".
