flush headlights without lenses
chrome housing signal lights
stock signals
painted black wheels

 

1. "East Bear" headlights.
2. Tires so small for the rim, they look like a prolapsed anus.
3. Stick-on dash kits.
4. OE/copy rear window sun visor/shades.
5. Body color painted taillights, door handles, or rear valances.
6. Bronze or "universal lug" wheels.
7. '99 bumper w/ the license plate brick (sorry everybody).

I'm sure there are a few more.

 

Solid motor mounts. They make the car vibrate, which feels like ****. Sellers of these mounts tell you they soften up over time. BULLSHIT!!! The only thing that changes over time is that the owners get used to them.

Triple gauge pods that go on the center dash speaker spot. Looks like crap.

 

1. ALL body kits (they ALL look like as_)
2. ANY mod done to the interior (what the hel_ do you need FOUR gauges for?)
3. ANY wheel over 18" (Just makes no sense)
4. ALL colored wheels (NEVER seen a colored wheel that looked nice)
5. ANY color besides factory (The paint jobs ALWAYS look half-as_)
6. SORRY but CYM/yellow is just gay REAL men do not drive yellow cars
7. ALL single turbo kits (Single turbo, press the gas and wait)
8. ALL 99 spec body parts
9. ANY exhaust bigger than a PFS tip
10. ALL engine swaps especially a lame Chevy (All the trouble Mazda went through to make the car LIGHT and you go BACKWARDS by adding weight plus Chevrolet SUCKS)

I'm not as pick as half of you, lol.

1. Cwest head lights
2. Frog eye head lights
3. any sort of non pop up head lights
4. Wheels bigger than 18in on FDs (18s are just right. They allow bbks also, lol)


And that's all really, lol.

 

Popular part I really dislike

1. Feed Side skirts - Why?? Its not useful and gets in the way whenever you have to do service on the car

2. Any non OEM pop headlights - All other headlights are a waste of time. Makes the car look horrible when you replace the pop ups.

3 Extra Gauges - just adds clutter.

Parts that don't bother me, but have no real need for it:

1. 99 spec bumper

Carry on people.

 

1. scoot hood
2. non pop up lights
3. ebay tail lights
4. painted interior plastics

 

Now that every part for an rx7 has been covered is there anything you do like

 

Any fog light
3 spoke rims
stock pop up headlight lamps (When they are up with the lights off, the car looks super dated)
19+ inch rims
Crazy stereo equipment
carbon fibre dash overlay stuff
the stock wing
that tail light spoiler thing (makes it look like a wannabe muscle car)
the 99 spec front lip (looks cheap)
And finally, any pin stripping or elaborate vinyls.

oh, and any home depot mods (especially exterior)

 

1. Veilside kit, for sure. It turns Charlize Theron into Amy Winehouse.
2. 99 spec front bumper and rear wing.
3. 99 spec front lip on a 93 spec front bumper. Fitment never looks right.
4. 99 spec tail lights. The 93 spec lights follow the curve of the rear better than 3 circles.

5-100. What most others have said.

 

i think the 99spec front bumper, rear lights, & rear wing definitely look better than stock 95'

i dont like the license plate holder tho

i dont like the hatch windshield wiper, only like R models, car looks naked without a spoiler and a front lip.

i dont like the badges

paint faded mirrors suck

 

i dislike:

-HKS twinpower, expensive! yet LS2 coils work better + they cheaper
-frog headlights
-veilside fortune
-glittery ***** shift *****
-19"/20" rims on FDs/ghetto looking chrome rims WTF
-"form over function" FDs that are dropped way too low
-tires that bulge way out because of the extreme offset
-FDs with large vinyls on them
-2 tone paint jobs

 

runs rotary headlight kit, totally tacky. Although I disagree w/ the majority, the R-magic HID's look amazing too bad they're major $$$

 

Its funny that people seem to either love or hate 99 spec bodies....and sleek headlights.

Gordon, thats because every mod than can be done on any car is on this list. It all ends up coming down to everyones personal preferences. Sadly, most of my car is on this list.

I think the 99 bumper is a vast improvement over the 93-95 front bumper. It looks more "modern". Having the old bumper makes the FD look like a miata.

Anyway i hate ALL veilside aftermarket parts for the FD.

Im starting to dislike the feed sideskirts although on SOME FD's, it looks proper. But like a total stock body FD with feed skirts look retarded. IMO.

Most rear diffusers. I dont know the brands, mostly all of them with the exception of a few.

Carbon fiber interior pieces. Looks UGLY.

Unncessary chrome. Anywhere, whether its inside or outside. We dont drive luxury cars and we dont drive exotics. Chrome is proper on those cars, not ours.

 

Nope I have had feed ver 1, burnout and now feed ver2 on the front. Still can't find a front bumper I 100% like so I just settled with the Feed one before everyone hopped on the feed bandwagon, although I think I would go with the r-spec front bumper and shave the canards off if I were to do it over again.

 

As stated... ALL mods ever done on an FD are probably listed here... And my FD is guilty of ALOT of them.....

All comes down to one's personal taste and the mood their in.. I remember when I 1st got my FD I said " IT will stay STOCK" right down to the Twins..... 2 yrs later I have done a Total 180* and I am pleased with it as of now..... I fear that I will go back to stock in a couple of years though
