all of a sudden, i am hearing fairly loud pop's when i get off of the gas, but it kind of started to occur randomly rather than as a result of any sort of modification/tuning..also, from what i understand there aren't any flames from the back from when it occurs. do you guys think this is the car backfiring? also, does this mean the car is in need of tuning/running too rich? i'm running a bonez hi-flow cat (installed after the pops started occuring), HKS downpipe and a blitz nur-spec exhaust.

 

It's normal -- nothing to worry about with the exhaust setup you have.

 

agreed. no worries.

but, check your dashpot (throttle cam rests on the white plastic plunger of this) and make sure it's functioning and adjusted properly as this should work to reduce backfiring.
