Pop up lights alignment
Pop up lights alignment
I've had some issues with my popup lights not aligning properly. When both are closed one side is abit lower than the other. I took apart both popup mechanisms and played with the adjustments by popping out the rod (not just turning the **** as that's not related) and repositioning it multiple times.
Since the headlights are usually down I aligned it so it would be flush when down. However that totally screws them up when the lights pop up, one end is lower than the other!
Would buying one of those universal sleepy eye headlight adjustment thingies but hooking it up to one side allow me to have perfect alignment? Or would that not work ? Any other suggestions? I'd like to keep my popups

I've done that and still can't get enough adjustment, it's the passenger light thats lower in the front. If i pop the front up the back part where the two screws are will rub the hood.
I have this same issue...with the headlights down and battery connected, if I try and turn the **** to raise it, it gets to a certain point and just zips back and scares the crap out of me each time! Not sure what this is about...if I do it with the battery disconnected, as soon as it is reconnected, it zips back again...
Thats because the **** isn't meant for permanent adjustment the **** is just a backup to turn up your headlight incase the motor fails. It will resetback to default position once u turn them on.
