poor idle?
Just got me a '94 FD tonight (see link below). Everything's going fine when I boost it and it seems to hit a fuel cut or blip somewhere high in the rpms. Now it idles crappy... pulls around -8 at idle vacuum...and sounds like a v8 with a stroker kit and cams. Once i get it goin and boost it's fine. I didn't have time to do an extensive search, but I thought it might have been a collapsed pipe or one that slipped off or something....any ideas? G-force ecu (about 14.7 psi) and new engine...

I don't think it's a blown seal or something...otherwise I wouldn't be able to boost so well. I'll check all tubes and vacuum lines for a leak tomorrow with some more light/time.

check the map sensor.......if that checks out fine.........get a compression test done. If compression is good..........then move to checking other stuff out. Checking the compression should be #1 in ur list, it'll save you a lot of hassle. Some blown engines still boost fine........
If it is indeed just a vacuum leak...and I'll try and find out Monday...can that cause the car to run super rich? The a/f guage already runs green most of the time, plus I know these cars tend to eat gas...but I tried to go get an e-check and failed cause they said it was twice the normal number of hydrocarbons....soooo too rich in other words. Anyone know if rx7store has any stock cats to swap mine out with temporarily? Would this help?
