42 here...had an fc gtu in highschool, my bestfriend had a t2....obsessed with fds ever since seeing one at the dealerships. Had my family early in life, so now its my time

As far as being wiser, definitely. As much as I love my FD, I wish I had sold it during the height of the covid thing to some nutty collector on BaT, and invested the money, but here we are.

Yeah, from what I’ve seen I’d guess 50 that still actually own an FD, and maybe only 20 of those still run. Most of the rest that are active at all are trying to sell parts from their failed “build” or “swap” after they decided to “go a different direction”.

As much as that might've worked out for you, I doubt it would've made you happy. Everything is 50/50 when it comes to "investing". Life throws too many things in the way and you end up sacrificing things or having to spend on things you weren't expecting. I think you made the right decision on keeping the FD because as you said, you love your FD. Not many people can honestly say that.
