First learned of the car in '94ish when I was 10. Fell in love with the "weird engine". Finally bought my '94 PEP in 2016.....currently in pieces getting a "modernization" overhaul as work and $ allow.

Another year older, but are we wiser?

If you have not joined the poll, please let us know.

And what you think for the year ahead!

Over 65% of us are between 30~49.

What influence does that have on our community?

Less straight pipes and more high flow cats with Mufflers that somewhat work?

Seems the poll closed today. I guess I put a one year limit on it. Thanks to everyone who participated!

The 2001 poll had 1,462 respondents. But I guess facebook had not been invented yet.

According to the site stats there are 208,000 members.

Glad the pole is closed, sadly I'm in a different age group than I was last year

As far as being wiser, definitely. As much as I love my FD, I wish I had sold it during the height of the covid thing to some nutty collector on BaT, and invested the money, but here we are.

Yeah, from what I’ve seen I’d guess 50 that still actually own an FD, and maybe only 20 of those still run. Most of the rest that are active at all are trying to sell parts from their failed “build” or “swap” after they decided to “go a different direction”.

As much as that might've worked out for you, I doubt it would've made you happy. Everything is 50/50 when it comes to "investing". Life throws too many things in the way and you end up sacrificing things or having to spend on things you weren't expecting. I think you made the right decision on keeping the FD because as you said, you love your FD. Not many people can honestly say that.

Besides, you barely owned the vehicle what, 6yrs or so?

Poll still seems to be adding results, although the total figure does not change.

I think this is a very good survey, but it demonstrates demographics of modern day Internet forum usership rather than RX7 ownership!

Maybe. Or maybe there are only 250 FD owners left?
