Nice plastic spray tarp.
I don't think he will have to worry about rust or clear coats with two cans of silver rustolium on it already.

Thanks for all the feedback and great suggestions. The plastic drop on my driveway was because I already clearcoated it. The reason this whole project started was the rust. I am glad to know it is a common problem - I thought my car was the only one. Still not back together but I am already thinking about polishing my suspension A-arms now that you have mentioned it gorden. Here is a closer pic.

Rad under-bling!
What is anyone's take on power-coating that piece. Is it too heavy?
Second pik is very cool.
Thanks ShawnK and all the funny responses.

Now I don't feel so weird about wanting to polish out the tranny housing while I have the car up in the air for clutch job. I already have had the bell housing powder coated and it look great. Now to add the shine to the behind.

Well I suppose I have had all the fun I am going to with this thread. It is in fact as spautos and a few other have said - I did not polish my subframe. I posted this fully expecting to get flamed to death and hopefully get a few funny responses (which I got plenty that were both funny and witty). I must say I am surprised at the forum for all of the positive things people said. It is good to see and makes me a little happier about participating in this community. I hope that everyone can read back over this thread knowing it was a joke and laugh as hard as I did the first couple days. Here is a pic of the actual job I did on my subframe - I simply sanded it (rough sand) then coated with rust reclaimer and then sanded again and painted with rustoleum. My goal was to stop the rust only since I will be driving this car for the next 50 years or so (or rather I will be driving it 25 out of the next 50 years and it will be in my garage apart for the other 25 if history has any reflection on the future) and I dont want that stuff to fall apart on me.
Let me thank all of those who posted on this thread for the many laughs you provided!
