PLZ HELP!!!My FD wont start and lost power

just had my car checked yesterday everythin was fine and even done a compression test which shown good figures, but last nite when i took my car for a spin:

I hit about 6krpm in 2nd gear. After that I got all the neat your-motor-is-dead symptoms: Loss of power, very erradic boost, . I was not boosting high, . i managed to drive my car home, just, I went home and check for lumpy idle but the car died and will not start.

Usually the car will start when the motor is blown (correct?) but has poor idle and vacuum. The car will turn over but chugs and will not start. Could there be another issue with the motor, such as a blown off hose?

got a local mechanic came to look at it and he said there is deffinatley fuel goin in as i suggested may b fuel pump??as he can hear the relay click!and he think is somethin wrong with the ignition, mind the spark plug was fitted about a mth ago and done less that 200 miles.

PLEASE HELP,THANKS!

Haha, first dibs -- check your map sensor hose to make sure it's connected on both ends.

If that's not it, time for another compression check...

good luck

its a small black box with a small black hose coming out of the side and bottom that very same thing happened to me you will have to let the car sit for a couple days and then try starting it again

Sam, check your PMs.

You don't have to let the car sit for a few days or anything. If the hose came loose, you WILL have to reset the ecu to get it out of limp home mode. To reset the ecu, disconnect the negative battery cable and press on the brake pedal for 30 seconds.

yea flooded i thought that was what was wrong with it at first that it had just somehow flooded itslef out but later after talking to my shop he told me to check the boost sensor and that fixed it. after u plug it back in it will still have some of those same symptoms. i let mine sit in idle for a long time until it quit smokin and stuff then drove it around the block and the next day it was fine.
