Please tell me parts to fix cluncking noise in front
I have this in the suspension section as well but when I brake or turn the wheel it has a crack noise in the front and you can feel it in the steering wheel as well as the brake pedal. Its been like this for about a year and I'm sick of hearing it from time to time. I hear its the bushings in the front or I can replace some arm of some sort and get the bushings with it. I bet this is a coomon problem and most of you have delt with this. Any help or parts suggestions would be awesome. Thanks....Casey

I just cured my clunk two weeks ago. Same symptoms. I wouldn't hear it under hard braking, but it would appear when I was braking lightly from about 30 mph or turning the wheel at parking speeds. Seemed to come from the right front area.
I just bought new Bilstein HDs and installed them, along with a used upper A-arm for the right side. The clunk quieted somewhat, but I think that it was probably reduced because of the new shock mounting rubber. I then checked out the sway bar mounts and replaced the stock mounting bushings with energy suspension pieces and tightened everything up. Clunk was still there.
Finally, replaced lower a-arm, had car aligned, and ensured that alignment tech tightened the adjustment bolts on the lower a-arm to spec (100 ft-lbs). No more clunk!
If I were you, I'd probably check the torque on the bolts first to see if they are loose. Maybe if you're lucky that could be a quick fix. Good luck!

Look at it first to see if anything is loose. A-arms are expensive. It does sound like ball joints, but it could just as easily be that your lower a-arm bolts are loose. That seems to be a pretty common problem.
