Please recommend flywheel/clutch
I tried search already but would like more input.
It needs to be streetable and handle about 450lb ft. torque.
Right now I'm considering an ACT street/strip clutch mated to a Racing Beat 9.5lb flywheel.
Does anyone have this setup? How do you like it? Does it have any chattering problems?

I had the ATC street/strip disk and the drag pressure plat with a Clutch Master fly wheel that at 9 lb on a turbo charge Honda that was at 400 hp and was great set up. I would recomend it....

i have it and it slips. i could smell that terd inside the car 2/3 down the track @ 18psi.

look at the sr and m2 flywheels,they don't have as many bolts holding the surface disc, and with mine it became warped due to this. racing beat has more bolts , should be better. also act sells flywheels, 9.5 lbs steel
im on the stock FW and an ACT extreem clutch. it's supposed to be good for 450 fwhp. i also have an braided clutch line. there's a little more softness in the peddle at the top of the clutch (clutch engaged) than stock, and of course it takes a little more effort but it's nicely streetable.

I am running the act clutch with the xtreme plate and stock FW. I love it so far, but my mods are kinda limited right now so the clutch is far is more than I need at this time.

I have a JUN racing 9.5lb chromolly steel flywheel with an ACT extreme pressure plate and six pad race disc and it slips before I get up to 15psi boost and 9000rpm, I changed the disc last month and its slipping again!!, I now have a complete OS Giken twin disc clutch setup to install , it really is the better way to go if your'er making MAD power , if not the ACT will work fine. my present ACT setup is for sale if you,re interested.
You can get an Exedy triple plate for around $1700 give or take a couple hundred bucks from different retailers.
It's nice considering you get a complete clutch/flywheel package that holds the power yet it's streetable.

Triple plate? That's kinda tough to drive. I have the Mazdaspeed version of the twin plate and it was quite difficult to drive at first until I got use to it. I can't imagine a triple plate. If I had to do it over, I'd get the single plate version. I heard it was real easy to drive. Compared to mine, it probably is.
