Angry please help with turn signal problem!!!

the winkers on my car stopped working about nine months ago, right after i bought it. I took it to the dealership, and they diagnosed a faulty flasher cpu. I tried to save some money and bought the part on the forum and swapped it out. they still don't work. i can hear the clicking when i turn the signals on but the lights don't come on. checked all the fuses and they are fine. here's the unsual part: when i hit the hazard switch i get nothing. the flasher cpu controls both the winkers and hazards right???? i am confused as **** and need help. thanks again. kevin.

lmfao...go to your fuse panel on the D/S. look for a fuse that's blow. You blew a fuse. I had that happen to me 2 days ago. EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS. pulled the fuse. Put new fuse in(15 AMP) and there ya go....turn signals work.

fd3virgin, for future reference, don't take your car to the dealer. The dealership is the last place a lot of the people on this forum would ever take these cars because of incidences like the one you just had. They will diagnose the problem as something that costs an arm and a leg when the real culprit is a fuse.

Yeah, sounds like a fuse problem, had it happen about a year ago.

thanks, for all your help..... yeah i took it to the dealer when i first bought the car and don't know **** about it. that was over a year ago. it's just taken time b/c i have been doing all the work myself since they try to take me for a ride. just cost 95 for a diagnostic fee. since then i have replaced my turbos, put on a downpipe, mp, replaced the radiator, smic and installed a set of coilovers all by myself none of the fuses are blown esp for the signals.. and the bulbs are ok..maybe i should just replace it eventhough it's not blown. i will look into it to see what's up. thanks.

You should check the light connections at the light socket. Check + and - with a voltameter. I have had bad connectors at the socket and also a bad turn signal switch itself.

I had a similar problem that also included a dead tach. Turned out to be the connector up behind the heater box, between the heater box and the firewall. It was connector X-07. White, with 2 rows of I think 12 wires per row. It had not been fully re-connected when the ECU upgrade was performed, and when I jostled the connector during the Dysney fan mod, the connector became partially disconnected.
