This past weekend I had an Apexi AVC-R boost controller installed in my 94 FD. When I took the car on the highway to measure the boost pressure. I gave it WOT in 3rd gear and when I was in fourth, the car would make a funny sound and not go any faster. I tried getting up this far in fourth several times and even pumped the gas a little bit and it would move to maybe 4500 rpm. Third gear would occasionally get stuck around 4000 rpm too but maybe twice out of the four times I tried to get on it.

I noticed that the boost controller was set to setting A which is the default factory setting. I turned all the settings off and only allowed it to monitor. I even reset the ECU and took it out for another spin with no luck.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

 

Mine has a rev limiter on one of the settings, for valet or something, make sure its not on that setting.
