Question Please Help me find info on my ECU.

While on the process on upgrading my rotary I decided to have a look at my ECU to be sure of what I had.

Surprise Surprise!!!!! I found out the my ECU has been played with. Together with my specialist we have started a research on the net to try and find info on it in order to be sure of what we had. Till now we always managed such a research before on other ECUs but on mine we still cannot find nothing.

Please can someone help us out to see what my ECU is programmed with. Thanks very much in advance.

Below are a couple of photos I took and what is written on all the lables.

ECU Right Label Reads:

Your best bet is to call Pan Speed and see what they say. They will be able to tell you exactly what has been done to your ecu. I havn't heard of many people using the Pan Speed ecu so you might not be able to find the answer your looking for here.

iirc, panspeed don't have an official website. they still sell these units though (a retuned stock ecu) - they sell for 175,000yen for an 8bit unit (crazy price for what they are - but you pay for pan's tuning ability/name). Not sure about pan, but often these style ecus are a case of sending your mod details and receiving an ecu with 'mail order' tune - so what you get is a fixed tune ecu that has not been tuned in real time.

If you intend on modifiying the car, or have already, I'd suggest ditching it and getting something new. Not sure about the octane level of fuel in malta either - that may or may not be an important issue

Thanks very much for the info. In fact I was thinking to ditch it but first I would like to know what they have done to it.

Is there any way possible if they do not have a site. Can they be contacted by fax, e-mail, letter any way. Since I do not speak a word of japanese how can I do?

Thanks again very much.

You should be able to send them an e-mail. I'm sure they have some sort of program that transfers the language since they deal with other countries. You can always try and give them a call, you never know if they can speak english or not, i'm sure they can atleast speak enough to give you an e-mail addy or something, after all they do deal with americans and other countries like I stated.
