Question please help me decide...

Hello everyone, I am posting becuase for the longest time I have been in love with the 93-02 fd's. There is just something about them that I'm just attracted to. Anyway, I have been searching around for one here in Az and there doesn't seem to be many to choose from. But I have found one with 65,002 original miles on it (1993) it also has an automatic trans, dark blue in color just a couple of cosmetic details wich is expected. all for $12,000. but whenever I talk to some of my friends for some reason everyone seems to try to steer me away from them (fellow mustang owners). Most of the guys that I talk to tell me that they are plagued of problems and that they aren't really reliable...So basically i'm asking if there is any truth to these rumors? what should I look out for???? basically I fell like this

Yes,do a lot and lot of research..But for your particular situation, unless the car has a brand new motor,I personally wouldn't want to spend $12,000 on an automatic, mainly because of the low resale value..You will put a lot of money into that car that you will most likely never get back,if that's important to you.
