Looks like it goes to the CPU2. It is behind the foot well cover to the left of the dead pedal.

beckrx, thanks for your input. I just looked at it but I don't think there's anything missing for CPU#2

On my jdm car I believe that same connector is located in the middle of the firewall above the transmission tunnel. To the right of the assembly that directs air flow for the vents. I have yet to see a place to plug it in.

Bose stereo

It looks identical to the stock Boss stereo plug. Check the colors or the speaker wires coming into the doors. The ones to the back of the speakers won't match but they should plug into the wiring harness that comes into the door. Blues on drivers side and greys on passage side I think but i, not sure if those colors are right.

Thanks guy for all your input! I think it's such weird place for a stereo plug...at least I don't have that silver module (what do you call that on Houstonderk's picture?) on my car. I apologize for forgetting to mention that my car is an R2 and it does not have the bose stereo. Now the mystery is solved. Thank you all again for the help!

It's the connector for the cruise control computer. If you have an R package that doesn't have cruise this will be hanging out unplugged.

In the last pic above you can see the silver box, that's it. It's normally above the CPU.

You can easily add cruise on an R package car - just need the computer, steering wheel switch, dash switch, and underhood actuator.

?

Pretty sure the cruise control connector is blue. I have JDM and it looks to me like it's the center console, is that the left side of your car?
