if the cable has snapped completely ur screwed but if it has snapped near the latch try someone pushing down on the hood as u pull the cable to take the pressure off or get ur hand up where the handle is in the car and pull the cable as they can stretch

if the plastic hood release under the dash just broke then you can use pliers to pull the cable

Try taking something you can grab it good with and giving it a good pull first.
Feeling nothing = it just pulls easily>?

The famous words again. Do a search!

I have read something about removing the signal light on the drivers side I think it was. Might have been the side marker light on that side too. I can't remember, hook the latch with a coat hanger through the hole. I think it will also help to have someone push down on the hood to make it easier to release while you try to do it. It can be done, I just haven't done it myself.

if you're lucky, maybe just the latch inside the car broke. lay on the floor with a flash light and look at the pull thing. see if it's pulling on the cable. if not, grab the cable with something and pull it. if it is pulling the cable, but nothing happens, good luck.

I've had this happen to me before.. lucky for me though, it just somehow got disconnected with the metal bracket inside the cockpit. I just snapped it back in place and secured it by bending the bracket to be a little more snug with some pliers. Hopefully this is your problem and not the wire snapping.
