I just diagonosis my 93 RX7, it's a CODE 18- Throttle sensor-narrow range, any suggestions, what should I do? thanks!!

 

Replace the TPS

You could always try to open it and clean it out, but being that it's an old electrical component who's been tortured by your engine's heat, I'd replace it.

 

Where is it located in the engine bay?

 

On the fire wall side of the throttle body, held on with two small screws . The dealer gets about $150 for a new one . If you can not get the screws out ,remove the throttle body to do it . Put it back with allen head screws so adjustment will be easy .

 

Just to be sure.... this is the throttle sensor that needs to be replaced or to be clean out right? thanks!!
