please help car keeps shutting off at idle

hey i got a 92 rhd fd, and it drives and runs great, but after the motor is warm at idle itll dip down to 500 rpm and shut off so i have to keep it revved to 1000 rpm at lights to keep it running, the motor is ported so the idle is lumpy, but i was thinking maybe i just have to readjust the idle so that it cant idle any lower than like 800 rpm, if anyone has had similar problems, or can help id appreciate it thx.

There is a flat-head screw under your throttle body. Turn this counterclockwise a few times (maybe 2 or so). Start the car and see if it can idle by itself. If it does, but your idle is too high, then open the little black diagnostic box and bridge TEN and GND. If you have an portable tachometer then take RPM signal from the IG- port. If you don't, have a friend watch the tachometer in the car. While TEN and GND are bridged, turn the screw under the throttle body clockwise slowly until your RPMs reach about 750.

Good luck, hopefully that's all it will take.

the stock idle air controller can get cloged with crap, try taking it off and cleaning it out. I personally just ripped it off and set the idle to 900
